I’m a freelancer video editor + fashion content creator who loves reading, cooking and browsing for cool interior design lamps online.
I never aspired to add “course creator” to my resume, but the thing is, I find my job so fun, that after months and months of my client (Deya, more on her later) trying to convince me to do this, I realized it would be cool to help other people do the same.
In 7th grade, I asked my mom for permission to create a Youtube channel. She said yes (as long as she watched all the videos before they were published – embarassing, but okay) . I loved documenting my life, crafting stories, and rotting behind on the computer, designing and editing. I thought that’s what everyone loved about it too, until I realized most content creators dread post-production and would rather delegate it as soon as possible (good for us, I guess).
So, in junior year oh high school, when a friend of mine asked me to edit her videos, I was thrilled. Somehow, a year later, I graduated already financially independent, with a little roster of freelance clients under my belt.

Before I found her, I probably spent 200+ hours endlessly scrolling through editor portfolios on EVERY platform I could think to hire a video editor. I didn’t want to do the whole aggressive zoom transitions, corporate fonts and overly exposed-400%-contrast colors that punch you in the face style. (You know, the one that makes your video look like it was edited by an energy drink.)
When I finally found Maia, I swear the angels sang. For the past year, Maia’s been the mastermind behind my video editing; my Youtube channel grew from 10,000 to over 100,000 subscribers during our work together.
